HTC Titan II – the first LTE Windows Phone device
|
Just before the announcement of the Lumia 900, AT&T had their own conference, at which they announced their whole range of LTE phones, which was dominated by Android devices – not really surprising, considering Google’s platform has supported this standard for quite a while now and other platforms are introducing it to their platforms just now.
Microsoft have also introduced it to their OS and the first phone to support LTE is coming from HTC and is called the Titan II. Just as the name suggests, the device is the successor of the Titan, which was generally considered one of the best Windows Phone cameraphones. The second generation hasn’t really improved a lot under the hood – it only has a 1.5gHz single-core Snapdragon MSM8255 processor and 512MB of RAM, but its camera is just incredible – it’s 16MP and has a dual LED flash. HTC have also added some software improvements of their own to enhance it even further, such as panorama mode and HTC Watch, an application for video streaming. B. A.
