HTC have finally released more detailed information, concerning the update schedule for their Android smartphones. As you probably know, this update (to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that is) is highly anticipated by most users, so it’s good to know HTC are working on it. Sadly the news aren’t all good – there are some devices, for which an update to the latest version of Google’s mobile platform hasn’t been planned, but than again that’s only natural – a company, which makes so many different models, can’t provide an update for all of them.

Most of the devices, which aren’t going to get the update are, of course, in the low-end of their line. Devices, such as the ChaCha, Salsa, Wildfire S and so on. Sadly the owners of the Flyer, EVO View 4G and the Jetstream willl also have to make due with the current version of the OS, on which their device is running. Now for the good news – the smartphones, which are going to receive the update are (almost) all going to do so in a matter of weeks or 2-3 months, tops. You can find detailed information for the update for your device on the official HTC website: http://www.htc.com/www/help/android4faq/?cid=android4blog B. A.
