How to Protect the Smartphone Screen

The breaking or the damaging of the smartphone screen is an issue that affects a lot of users. In fact, damaging it is very simple: by keeping your smartphone into a pocket that contains also keys or coins they can scratch the screen, with a small fall the screen can break in many pieces. This damage isn’t generally covered by the warranty and the reparation is expensive.
For these reasons, it is important to protect the screen with specific items.

The main item that should be used in order to prevent breakages of the screen and of all the smartphone components is the smartphone casing. It can be made of different materials (plastic, leather, silicone, etc.) and is able to protect not only the device but also the screen from drops and scratches. The perfect casing should not be cumbersome but at the same time it should be proof.

Another useful item that can protect the smartphone screen from scratches is the screen protector, a small piece of transparent vinyl that is applied on the screen. It could be easily bought with few dollars in specialized shops and is really able to prevent scratches. It is also possible to create a home made screen protection buying a piece of vinyl and cutting it respecting the size of the screen.
Though these products have been conceived in order to protect the smartphone screen, they are not able to offer a complete protection, especially if the smartphone falls from high distances. For this reason, also if the smartphone is protected with a resistant casing and a screen protection, it is important to respect the follow warnings:
- do not keep the smartphone on surfaces that are not stable (for example on your legs when you are sitting);
- do not put the device in a pocket in which there are metallic elements like coins or keys;
- if you transport the mobile into the handbag, it is advisable to put it into an internal pocket;
- do not place the smartphone near liquids( for example a glass of water) that can be tipped on the device.
