Froyo Android 2.2 build runs 450% faster?

Among a list of features that the next generation Android Froyo 2.2–widely expected to be announced at Google I/O conference next week–is expected to bring, the performance improvements seem mind-blowing with early reports showing that the build is 450% faster than Android 2.1 on the Google Nexus One.
