Foxconn to increase their production capacity

Foxconn, a company, which makes a lot of products for tech companies like Apple, Samsung and Microsoft, are going to double the capacity of their smartphones plant in in Zhengzhou, China. Currently this plant has 95 production lines and makes 200,000 iPhones daily.

Foxconn are looking to double that by adding more production lines, but it’s unknown at this point whether this plant will continue making just the iPhones, but that’s highly likely, because with the release of the iPhone 5, the demand for iPhones is expected to go higher than ever.  With this investment of $1.1 billion, Foxconn are going to need to hire 100,000 more employees. The enhancement of the plant is expected to bring $20 billion in sales revenue next year alone. After the changes, this plant is going to be the largest smartphone manufacturing base in the world. B.
