Decrease in smartphone sales in the USA

According to the Morgan Keegan agency, Android smartphones sales will go down in Q4 this year. The iPhone 4S on the ohter hand is expected to sell great – the reason for that is the late announcement of Apple’s latest product. According to the agency’s analysis of AT&T’s and Verizon’s financial results, smartphone sales in Q3 in the USA will drop for the first time in the last few years compared to Q2 this year and Q3 last year.

According to  Morgan Keenan, this was caused by the anticipation of Apple’s iPhone 4S – people didn’t want to buy a new phone, before they saw what Apple had to offer. The agency also recons american network operators will have to lower their prices. B. A.
