According to people familiar with the company, Beats Electronics, who most of you know for their popular line of high-end headphones, are currently negotiating to buy a music service – MOG. This information is coming from the AllThingsD website and according to it, the deal hasn’t been finalized yet. The interesting thing, though, is the fact that Beats Electronics are currently owned by HTC, which means, that the Taiwanese company may incorporate such a service in their future mobile devices.
Currently MOG has about 500 000 users, which isn’t really a good enough reason for HTC to try and buy the service – the reason is more likely to be the company’s contracts with the big music labels, which would save HTC a lot of time and efforts, if they do indeed decide to offer such a service.
