According to some recent rumors, Barnes&Noble may surprise us with a new tablet this fall. The device is said to be optimized for reading and as such will have a better display than its predecessor, but despite this, the online store, which it’s going to use will still feature all kinds of other multimedia content, much like the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. Sadly, the only things we currently know about the device are that it’s going to be lighter (and probably thinner) than the first generation and that its screen is going to use a revolutionary technology, which we haven’t seen in any product up until now.
This was stated by a source of CNET, who hasn’t given any more details. The device is expected to be released at the end of September or the beginning of October with a price similar to that of the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7. B. A.
