Asus Working With Google On A Nexus Tablet And More
|
Even though there are not evidence of Google working on a Nexus tablet, the sheer number of rumors, suggesting they are, is impressive. The latest ones state, that the company has partnered with Asus in the development of such a device, which is supposed to have a 7″ screen, feature a Tegra 3 processor and, of course, run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The rumors also suggest, that the tablet is going to cost around $200, which is going to make it a direct competitor of the Kindle Fire . Such a low price actually makes a lot of sense, because this would make it much easier for Google to catch up with Apple and their iPad.
Another interesting thing about Asus is their software update schedule – the company was one of the first to offer devices running Android 4.0 and has provided regular updates for their devices in the past year or so. It seems, that the company is going to keep on giving their customers regular updates, as an Asus spokesman has just announced, that the company is going to be one of the first to offer and update for Android 5.0 Jelly Bean. This might also have something to do with the rumors, about them working on a Nexus tablet. B. A.
