Acer’s first Windows Phone powered smartphone
|
Acer unveiled their first Windows Phone device at the IFA 2011. Back then, the device was code named the W4, but now, as it hits the market, it’s going to be known as the Allegro. The device has a 3.6″ display with an 800×480 resolution and a Qualcomm 8255 processor clocked at 1 gHz. Some other features are the 5 MP camera with an LED flash and 8 GB of internal storage. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the device is its Fast Charge technology, which allows for 2.5 times faster charging than regular phones.
The Acer Allegro will be released in France in a couple of weeks with a price of €299 and will be offered in two colors – black and white. So far, Acer haven’t announced what other markets we can expect it to be sold on. B. A.
