700,000 Android devices are activated daily

After Google continuously announcing, that Android device activations have reached 550,000 per day, Andy Rubin finally published, that this number has gone up to 700,000. And this includes only the newly bought devices – not updated ones, or ones, which don’t have access to the internet. This means, that practically there are a lot more than 700,000 Android devices activated daily, because WI-Fi only tablets, media players and what-not have no way of being noted by Google.

We should also remind you, that the Christmas season is upon us, which means a lot of people are buying phones as presents (or for themselves), which means that the number of activations may go down in the coming months (though, considering it has always gone up in the past years, it probably won’t).
