Here is the latest custom Windows Phone 7 ROM for Toshiba TG01 – mi7ROM_3, this time the OS build version is 7.10.7720.68 and the ROM is completely based on the official Mango update for HTC HD7! Its both dev and interop unlocked, so you can install any custom .XAP files on your TG01 + the ability to download and install .XAP files directly from the browser (Internet Explorer).
This ROM is absolutely stock – its clean and fast, there is a new Toshiba boot logo, a lot of nice themes to choose from (including the latest Nokia Lumia themes) and full access to the Windows Phone Marketplace, the official HTC Apps, XBOX Live and SkyDrive.

The first Nokia Lumia smartphones with NFC arriving this Fall

While a lot of people remain skeptical about the Nokia-Microsoft partnership, the Finns are working on more and more products with Windows Phone. In a recent interview, Nokia’s vice president announced, that the company is currently working on their first devices featuring NFC technology and even hinted at the possibility of wireless charging. The first Lumia devices with NFC are probably going to arrive this October, when an update is expected, which should bring support for the technology in Microsoft’s mobile platform. According to Nokia’s VP, we should also expect the company to lose the micro USB cover and perhaps even the port itself, which may be interpreted as a possible technology for wireless charging, something, which already exists in HP’s phones. LED Flashlight is a simple and free flashlight app for Windows Phone. It uses the LED light on your device as a light source (the light used by the camera when taking photos).
Even if LED Flashlight is a very simple app, it includes some special features, most of them not available in the other flashlight apps:
- Shake to toggle – you can shake the phone to toggle the flashlight
- Camera button to toggle – you can use the camera shutter button to toggle the flashlight
- Disable lock screen – you can disable the lock screen so that the light does not turn off by itself
- Constant light – the LED light does not flicker like some other flashlight apps
Please note that this app will not work on devices with xenon flash or devices that do not have a flash at all.

The Windows Phone Marketplace is growing faster and faster

The published applications in the Windows Phone Marketplace are already over 60 000 according to a recently published statistic. This means, that less than one month (25 days to be exact) were needed for the Marketplace to grow from fifty to sixty thousand apps (which means 400 apps were uploaded daily), whereas it took 40 days to get from forty to fifty thousand (265 apps per day). This means, that Microsoft’s platform is actually very popular, at least for developers, and now has the third largest Appstore (after iOS and Android, of course). It’s another story with the quality of the applications, but that’s something no one can judge objectively and is actually more or less an issue with every application store out there. B. A.

ZTE already introduced (in September 2011) it’s first smartphone powered by Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) operating system – ZTE Tania. The new model is positioned as an affordable solution for the mass consumers market, although the manufacturer did not name the exact price of the device.
The upcoming ZTE Tania smartphone is equipped with a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, single-core processor with a clock frequency of 1GHz, 512 megabytes of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a standard GPS receiver.
ZTE Tania will be released in Asia and Europe, but there is no official date yet.
