HUB is a new type of multitasking for Windows Phone 7 Series

We have more information about Windows Phone 7 Series and the concept of HUB. Wonder what is HUB – it’s a new type of multitasking. The concept is simple, the OS will push the application to back group and freeze the UI, and the information for application will push to HUB, so user can catch the information from HUB. For example, while user using the TomTom or iGO for navigation,when you need return to Home, the OS would push the TomTom to backgroup, and freeze the TomTom’s UI, but user still can see the information from HUB eg, speed, directions, etc).

HTC HD2 was captured running the new Windows Phone 7 Series ROM, more info according to www.winmo.nl:

- Multilanguage
- Ultra fast for an early build ( “So fast that it looks like on WM 6.5 the Snapdragon only ran at half its power”)
- TomTom is bundled with that ROM
- No SMS problem (They are referring to the SMS issues on WM 6.5 on most Leo ROMs)
- Zune part of the phone is not working on this ROM (error reports, etc.)
