According to the Korean site etnews, Samsung are about to begin mass-producing high-resolution versions of their 7″ Super AMOLED screens. If the rumors are correct, the exact resolution of the displays is going to be 1024 x 768. It’s still not clear when we’re going to see them in actual products, but it could happen as early as this Fall. The site claims, that a newer generation of the Galaxy Tab will be released in the near future in North America, equipped with 7″ HD Super AMOLED screens. We’re expecting Apple to release their new mobile devices at the same time, so the giants are going to fight head-on once again. We shouldn’t forget that the Galaxy Tab is one of the best selling tablets on the market and an upgrade of the screen will only make it more popular. B.A.

But now, numerous reports at xda-developers shows that the smartphone has some problems with the touchscreen. After some days with normal work, the phone starts to lose its screen sensitivity. The users have to press several times on the same keys and unlocking the device becomes a serious problem. Keycase Pro Folio for iPad 2 – review

July 4th, 2011 No Comments   Posted in Accessories, News, Tablets
I’d say the main selling point of the Keycase Pro Folio is that it has hard keys on the keyboard instead of the usual silicone ones so its a great rival to the Zagg.

Keycase-Pro-Folio

Whats makes this one of the best iPad 2 accessories available is that unlike other bluetooth keyboards which use silicone keys, the Keycase Pro Folio has hard keys, making it more professional and durable. The hard keys not only make the keyboard easier to use, but they prevent it from being damaged and allow you to access a number of the iPad 2‘s features from the keyboard.

In order to make the keyboard quick and easy to use it has active pairing, meaning once it’s initially set up with the iPad 2, the keyboard will automatically connect to your iPad 2 every time both have their Bluetooth switched on.

Another great  feature which has been upgrade is the material of the folio, which is now tough, tear proof material with iternal padding to provide extra protection without taking away the original style.  The folio itself is thinner than it’s predecessor and features a unique honeycomb pattern, making it both fashionable and professional.

A further upgrade to the Keycase Pro, comes from an integrated velcro multi-view desk stand, which allows you to poition your iPad 2 at any angle.  This makes typing and surfing on the internet easier and more comfortable.  When the case is closed, the velcro strips transforms to provide extra protection for the iPad 2′s screen, even though using an iPad 2 screen protector with the Keycase Pro Folio is advised for ultimate protection.

Fusion of smartphone and tablet – Imerj 2in1 Smartpad

Imerj and Frog presented their strange new phone prototype. It’s look like a normal Android smartphone but it has a second screen. The device works with modified Android 2.3, as we said the phone is just a prototype at the moment and it not even has a name – they called it 2in1 Smartpad. Both of the screens are 4″ with WVGA resolution, the Smartpad has 1GB DDR3 RAM and 32GB flash memory. Also, it has a dual-core TI OMAP processor, so that it works really fine. It doesn’t have a MicroSD card slot, but if producers start selling it, could have a model with 128GB internal memory. The camera is 5 megapixels and can record videos in HD (720p).

Webserver for Windows Phone 7

webserver-windows-phone

This is a webserver app for Windows Phone 7 devices. To access the webserver, open the app on your phone (it will disable the idle timer and run behind the lock screen – but WiFi will be turned off, so you’ll want to be connected via USB or don’t let it sleep).

//phone_ip/IsolatedStorage
//phone_ip/Windows

IsolatedStorage is a special case (virtual directory that uses the SDK IsolatedStore APIs), the filesystem is mounted at the root of the webserver. Note that if you navigate to //phone_ip/, you will not see anything, as we are not able to list the contents of the root directory. Most of the socket and I/O code came from jmorrill.

The Google Nexus 4G – perfection

June 17th, 2011 No Comments   Posted in Android OS, Mobile phones, News
Nexus-4G4G
So far, there have been 2 devices branded with the Google logo – the Nexus One and the Nexus S – and now there is (unconfirmed) information about a third one. And just like it’s predecessors it’s going to be a peak in the mobile technologies. One of the most interesting features is it’s 1280×720 screen – an incredible resolution for a screen at this size. And even though we don’t yet know what size it actually is – we can tell it will be 4.3″ at least. Another interesting fact about the phone is the lack of buttons on the front – it will rely only on software ones. And having mentioned the software – it’s going to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. But that’s not all – the processor is also worth mentioning – a 1.2 or 1.5GHz second generation dual-core – most likely a Snapdragon or OMAP. The phone will have two cameras – a front 1 megapixel and a rear 5 megapixels – but don’t think it’s just any 5 megapixel camera – it’s said to have a new class-leading sensor so it might just be Android‘s first true camera-phone. The phone is said to come at the end of November or early December – just in time for the holidays.
