How-to install Ubuntu on your Nexus One or any other Android device
Cyanogen is working on getting CyanogenMod ROM to run on the EVO 4G right now. On the surface, that’s just cool, but dig a bit deeper and you realize a couple things: the EVO has an HDMI-out port on it (meaning you can hook it up to your TV or computer monitor, complete with sound), AND he’s working on getting HID (Human Interface Devices) working over Bluetooth.

The Nexus One is made by HTC with of course fantastic build quality. The device is lightweight in hand, and it’s just 11mm thick (the width of a pencil according to Google’s information), it easily slips into your pocket. The body of the phone is made from a soft plastic material that offers a nice non-slip effect. The touch screen, which is 3.7 inch. and with WVGA 800×480 resolution, uses capacitive touch. While it doesn’t support multitouch (officially) out the box, there are some custom applications available for free from the Android Marketplace. Anyway, there are too many reviews over the internet but if you are looking for a complete Nexus One Review you should take a look here.

Folks over at AllDroid have managed to overclock the Motorola Droid phone to 1.1Ghz, hence making it faster than the “stock” Nexus One which is powered by 1Ghz Snapdragon processor. The test was carried out by testing Droid with different clock speeds (800Mhz, 900Mhz, 1Ghz, 1.1Ghz) after which it was found to be running most stable at 800Mhz.
Motorola Droid overclock guide:
Here are 3 intirim releases I used when compiling the info in this post, where the 600MHz slot was replaced with 800MHz, 900MHz, and 1GHz respectivly. 800MHz seems rock solid, as did 900MHz, 1GHz was only tested for 5 minutes. 1.1 seems a touch unstable so it’s going to be left for when cpufreq and etc get more slots added.
