htc touch diamond wm6 phone How to format the internal memory on your HTC Diamond

This program already exists for XPERIA X1, HTC HD2, Touch Pro2  and it’s tested and works. So here is the task29 program for your HTC Diamond (GSM version).

We do not take any responsibility for any damage done to your device. Use it at your own risk, and only after you have HSPL already installed on your device!

Do not know what a HSPL is, check here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415191

Now we can MTTY our HTC Diamond devices without having the need of MTTY and its drivers.

What is TASK29 and MTT:

When you flash a rom, you are copying files onto the internal memory but if you repeatadly flash different roms, sometimes files from older version stays behind as when you flash a rom, you just copy and sometimes overwrite files without deleting the older ones. Hence at times these older files may create bugs or instability, hardrest do not always fix it, so we use MTTY for full memory format. But the thing is, MTTY is and can be hard to use for new users, so here is a tool to do this operation:

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Download and unzip.
  2. Run then ROMUpdateUtility.exe and wait for it to finish.
  3. Device will reboot but will neva go past the bootscreen coz there is no OS to boot.
  4. Take out the battery and then flash a rom using mSD card or by taking device into bootloader and using customRUU to load ur favorite RO.

Msm7kCpuSpeed – Overclock tool for HTC Touch Pro, Diamond, Touch Pro2, Touch HD and more

July 16th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Freeware, Hacks, News, Utilities

v1 ss1 Msm7kCpuSpeed Overclock tool for HTC Touch Pro, Diamond, Touch Pro2, Touch HD and more v1 ss2 Msm7kCpuSpeed Overclock tool for HTC Touch Pro, Diamond, Touch Pro2, Touch HD and more

After LeoCpuSpeed to overclock the HD2, there is a program for overclocking the MSM7k SoC on the Raphael, with success. The same processor is present on the Diamond, Rhodium and the Topaz, so it should work on all of these devices. You’ve been able to underclock to 57MHz and overclock up to 710MHz, using small 19.2MHz steps. It can clock even further, but it depends on the quality of the processor in your device where the limit for you lies.

Supported devices
- Raphael (HTC Touch Pro)
- Diamond (unconfirmed)
- Rhodium (HTC Touch Pro2)
- Topaz (HTC Diamond2)
- Blackstone (HTC Touch HD)
- Whitestone

Features
- The CPU speed is calculated from the actual clock registers, not via some dll or shady method.
- CPU speed is updated every 250ms
- A small dot blinks on each update so that you can see if your device hangs or not.
- Under- or overclock by moving the slider

Notes on overclocking
1) AT YOUR OWN RISK
2) Only works while connected to AC power
3) The “604MHz” OC frequency is a special one. Only with this frequency set, you can remove AC power without having a lockup. So: after you overclock and want to remove your USB cable, set it to 604MHz first! You’ll see it go back to the default 528MHz a second after you remove the cable. That’s something the device does, not from the app.
4) Overclocking while on battery gives insta-hang.
5) “Apply at boot” is disabled as under- or overclock would hang at boot.

When using TCPMP to benchmark the overclock, be aware that this tool overclocks the CPU, not the GPU.

HTC Diamond:

http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/wp-content/phoneimages/2008/05/htc-diamond-front-and-back.jpg

So let’s start the comparision, first of all the HTC Diamond beats the Omnia in the following features:

  • VGA screen.
  • Touch Flo 3D feature.
  • Existence of the touch screen pin (magnetic stylus) while there is no existence for the pin in the Samsung Omnia.
  • Existence of the scroll wheel.
  • Liter than Omnia.
  • The same and usual mini USB port so you can connect it with a computer but the Omnia has a special USB port that’s made especially for it.
  • Accelorometer Feature.
  • Better performance for video and games.

Now we come to the features that Samsung Omnia i900 beats HTC Diamond in it .

  • Battery use time is longer than HTC’s about two times (double).
  • Fast processor performance.
  • GSM quad band feature.
  • Existence of a place for a MicroSD card so you can raise up the memory space but when it comes to Diamond you don’t have this feature (only built in storage memory).
  • Internal memory size is 8 or 16 Gigabyets however the Diamond is just 4 Gigabyets.
  • Main camera resolution of 5 Megapixels while the Diamond’s camera is just 3 Migapixels.
  • TV out feature.
  • The ability to use keyboard (qwerty keyboard) when the horizontal screen mode is on (landscape mode) while in the HTC Diamond you can use this feature only with browsing program.

HTC Diamond and Samsung Omnia i900 are pretty cool Windows Mobile devices and very good at the specs so when it comes to buying which one we are talking about what will the person who will buy one of them use it for ? So I think it depends on the person who will buy a product whether it was Omnia i900 or HTC Diamond you just have to set down with your self and decide which one is suitable for you and what will you use it for. In the end , I hope this article helped you choosing a product to buy from the both Windows Mobile devices .
