The Nokia N9 Finally Has Flash Support
We have been awaiting for the Nokia N9 to get support for Flash for quite a while now and so we’re happy to tell you, that it’s finally here. As expected, Flash is only going to be available for the Firefox browser for the moment, but you can download both the browser and the plug-in from the Nokia Store for free. Of course, the software is still in its early stages of development and, as you can see in the video, it’s not exactly stable, but that again everything is working and improvements are on their way, so we can’t complain. Adobe are ready with Flash 11 and AIR 3
Adobe have launched new versions of their most famous products – Flash 11 and AIR 3 are available for download on their website. Among Flash 11′s new features are compatibility with 3D apps and games and hardware acceleration of 3D graphics using the Stage 3D technology (for computers and TVs). It’s also seriously improved, much more stable and both applications and videos should work at a higher frame-rate. Sadly, Stage 3D is not available for mobile devices yet, but Adobe say, they’re going to activate it as soon as possible. Along with Flash 11, Adobe have released AIR 3, which allows for creating apps for different platforms, such as Samsung’s SmartTV. With AIR 3 there is now also Dolby Digital and DTS support, which will let Flash based apps to feature HD videos with 5.1 or 7.1 surround-sound. B.A.

Windows 8 will support Flash…kind of
Adobe have officially announced, that Windows 8 will support Flash, though there are some conditions – Flash will work on all PCs and tablets, no matter if they have an x86 or ARM processor, but only in the standard interface – the one we know from Windows 7.
When using the system with the Metro interface, Flash won’t be supported – this is so the system can load faster. Windows 8 will practically come with two versions of Internet Explorer – a standard one and one with the Metro interface. The standard one will support Flash, just as it has done in all the older versions. However if you need to use Flash when using the Metro browser, there will be a button which switches to the IE10 and you can easily use it. B.A.
