Palm Pre 2 is here

October 21st, 2010 No Comments   Posted in News

HP decided to reveal details of the new version with webOS  2.0, as it coincided with the announcement of the smartphone Palm Pre 2 information has already appeared online informally. The device will be sold by the end of this week, will debut in the French network operator SFRm from whose database recently leaked the first details on the phone. However, HP promises that Palm Pre 2 will reach to U.S., but it will happen in the coming weeks, whatever that means. It is not clear whether the smartphone will reach other markets. The new Pre 2 is not a surprise appearance as it looks like its predecessors, but the company claims it has a sleek design. The dimensions are the same as those of the Pre Plus, but now has a faster processor with a clock frequency 1GHz. Other features include a 3.1 “screen with 320 x 480 pixels, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g, Bluetooth 2.1 and 5MR camera with flash. Internal memory is 16GB.

Among the new features of WebOS 2.0 is a preliminary version of Adobe Flash 10.1, option to select the preferred contacts, make phone calls through Skype (only for U.S. users) and work with Bluetooth keyboards. Another novelty concerns multitasking – Stacks allow grouping of open applications with a connection between them. Exhibition feature in turn allows the placing of special applications when the phone is placed in the dock – so you can turn into an alarm clock, digital picture frame or calendar. Among the innovations are global demand, updated browser that supports Geolocation, new possibilities of technology Synergy, Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite to work with documents, integration of Google Docs and Dropbox and others. Previous smartphone, Palm will be able to update to version 2.0 of webOS.

ForeLayer theme for HTC HD2

October 15th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Freeware, News, Skins and Themes

http://www.brittondelizia.com/josh/WaterSS1.png

Its Called “ForeLayer” and its exactly what it sounds like.. it’s a layer placed almost as high up onto the layers of the phone as possible.. skinning over the top of everything BUT the taskbar and CHT2 slider. But the cool part? It has ZERO click interruption!! So you could lets say .. put some fish floating in the middle of your screen.. that will stay there on top of your icons , clock, ect.. but NOT interfere with click or swypability.

Qualcomm with dual core CPU’s by the end of 2010

August 19th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in News

Qualcomm has introduced several months ago a Snapdragon chipset designed to deliver the best of the best in next-generation smartphones and tablets. The “boards” integrate dual core CPU family named Scorpion, the clock rate can reach the speeds of 1.5 GHz, but there are two news – good and bad.

The good news is that Qualcomm will begin later this year to distribute among it’s clients the first chipset based for the most recent series. It is therefore legitimate to assume that smartphones moved Scorpion dual-core processors hit the market until 2011.
