New smaller Angry Birds speakers from Gear4
The new set of speakers from Gear4 follows on the product line from last year’s big speakers, but these are a lot more affordable and feature the Space Angry Birds as well as the normal birds.
These look really cool and are a bit similar in style to the popular X-Mini speakers. Plus with the upcoming release of ‘Bad Piggies’ it’s fair to say that the Angry Birds aren’t going anywhere!

Gear 4 Angry Birds bundle for iPhone 4/4S
This Angry Birds bundle comes with a Red Bird case, headphones, cleaning cloth and the thing I like the best, the Red Bird stand. The stand looks similar to the Stuckbuddy in how it works but it looks really cool because the bird’s head is the stand, so it’s adding that extra character to your iPhone. We are a a big fans of this and it’s a great looking gift.

Rovio’s next game coming in 2 months
The Finnish company Rovio has made quite a name for itself with their hit-game Angry Birds, which has gotten so popular, it is now available not only for smartphones, but also as a browser-based game and even a stand-alone computer program. As beloved as it may be, though, its age has taken its effect on the game and even moving the action in outer space can’t bring back all of the initial enthusiasm of Angry Birds. The Finns however seem to be aware of that and that’s why they’re preparing to surprise us with a new game.
According to recently leaked information, Rovio has just bough the company, which made Casey’s Contraptions, and that’s actually going to be the next application of theirs. Rovio are currently improving the game and are getting ready to release it with a mass marketing strategy, which is going to make it well-known for a larger audience. According to the head of Rovio, the game, which is going to be called Amazing Alex, is going to have an educational character and will be released in the next couple of months. B. A.

Angry Birds Space iPad cases available at Mobile Fun
Our friends over at Mobile Fun have sourced a pretty cool range of Angry Birds Space iPad 3 cases, which are up for pre-order on their site now.
There are two different iPad cover styles to choose from: either a group shot of the Angry Birds in their space costumes or the Red Bird all spaced up and ready to defeat the Pig King. The Angry Birds Space app has already had over 10 million downloads, so the covers are a really good idea for die hard Angry Birds fans – they protect your iPad 3 and allow you to add character to it with their bright design.
Using a simple snap on design, the Angry Birds iPad 3 cover protects the back and sides of your iPad from accidental bumps, drops, scrapes and scratches so it’s great for everyday use. The covers have all the cut-outs needed so that the charging port and all important features can still be accessed, so you don’t have to keep taking the cover off and putting it back on.
Another great accessory for Angry Birds fans, Mobile Fun are taking pre-orders on the covers.

Reuters have published some interesting statistics, which came as a result from a recent research, conducted by The Luxury Institute, about the habits of the wealthy smartphone users. There are the ones with an income of over $150 000 per year, who’s average age is 52. Employees of the research agency explain, that with age, people tend to have more and more commitments, which leave them less time to spend on things, which we generally think of as unimportant, such as games and chatting.
Despite this, even the wealthy (and elderly) smartphone users regularly use applications such as Facebook and Angry Birds, which are actually the most popular applications for 2011. Among this group of people, 45% were using Apple’s smartphones, 35% – devices, running Google’s OS and about 25% – BlackBerry’s (some of the people had more than one device). B. A.

Mobile Ads May be Draining Your Battery
According to a research, conducted by Prudue University, a rather big part of the battery of most Android devices is being used up by the advertisements in free applications and the tracing services, connected with them. The researchers have monitored the behavior of devices, while running 5 of the most popular Android applications, such as Angry Birds, FreeChess and the New York Times app.
The test was conducted using Android 2.3 Gingerbread and according to the results, the applications actually use a lot less battery than the advertisements. In the case of Angry Birds for example, the game itself uses just 30% of the battery, while the other 70% are used by the tracing software and to load ads. FreeChess also shows pretty much the same results. The New York Times app is comparatively better – just 15% of the power it uses goes to the ads and. Still, the results are conclusive – Android and the applications, written for it, can and need to get better. B. A.
