HTC Diamond battey life fix

January 9th, 2009 Posted in Hacks

It seems that one of the major issues is that the battery amount is polled so often that it actually drains the battery a LOT.

There is a registry edit you can perform that is confirmed working on CDMA(being tested on GSM) phones, and battery life is really great now!

What you have to do:

  1. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEDriversBuiltInBattery in a Registry Editor.
  2. Change the value of the “PollInterval” to HEX 4E20(or use decimal 20000)
  3. Soft reset your device
