Here is the new LumiTab – the world’s first tablet with an integrated DLP Pico-Projector.
It’s a 7-inch Android 4.2 Jelly Bean tablet with an integrated 35 lumen projector (854×480 pixels resolution), powered by a dual-core TI OMAP4460 processor running at 1.5GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, MicroSD card slot, dual stereo speakers, two cameras (2MP each) and 4800 mAh battery. LumiTab is also up-to date with the latest connectivity features, including: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 + USB OTG support and HDMI port.

Iconia A1 is the latest addition to the Acer’s portfolio of budget tablets running Android OS.
There is nothing really special about the tech specs, Acer Iconia A1 features a 7.9-inch IPS screen with resolution of 1024×768 pixels (4:3 aspect ratio) and it’s powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8389W processor running at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 8/16GB of built-in storage, 0.3MP front-facing camera for video calls, 5MP rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video support, microSD card slot, Micro USB 2.0 and HDMI ports, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n.

Ubuntu for Tablets Introduced

Canonical introduced its new version of Ubuntu especially designed for tablets, the platform will be available on four different type of devices – smartphones, TV’s, desktop computers and tablets.
Ubuntu Mobile will be officially available for download on Thursday, including the smartphones version. If you are curious about the platform, there is a real preview thanks to the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets and it’s not about the desktop version of Ubuntu just ported to work on the tablets, but for a completely new software with Canonical’s official instructions on how-to get it running.
If you’re still wondering what’s the point of yet another mobile OS on the market, keep in mind that Ubuntu will be a sort of “universal” platform – it will work with the same code on different hardware (smartphones, tablets, desktop computers).

Running x86 Apps on Windows RT (ARM) Tablets

As usual, XDA-Developers is the spot – mamaich just announced a new tool that allows you to run x86 Windows applications on Windows RT (ARM) powered tablets.
The tool emulates x86 instructions and passes the Windows API calls to the Windows RT kernel with some necessary modifications. It’s currently in beta version, but it has an installer and a GUI launcher, the number of the emulated Windows API functions is increased too, anyway it’s still very far from being a perfect solution.This tool supports only 32-bit Windows native applications and it will not allow you to run any type of drivers, .NET apps or DOS programs.
Running x86 Apps on Windows RT
Note: Launching one x86 app from another is not supported yet, installers that decompress themselves and launch additional .exe files would not work at the moment.

Great news for all users with devices from the Google’s Nexus series – the long awaited official update to the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is now available!
The latest update is available to both the GSM version of Galaxy Nexus and the tablets Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. Sadly, the new software is not yet available for the Nexus 4 but we are still waiting for it in the coming weeks. Currently there is no information about the changes in the new Android 4.2.2 version, but among them are expected to be corrected the A2DP Bluetooth bugs connected to the audio streaming.
