HTC Diamond works with Android 0.8

Someone went ahead and replaced Windows Mobile with Android 0.8 on a HTC Touch Diamond. Does that mean we’re going to see Android versions popping up on all sorts of other devices? At least it looks like other HTC devices will be able to run the open source OS.  Below you can see the whole thing in action. I’d be curious to see how Android 1.0 will run on the same device… But in the mean time remember not to mess with your smartphone if you don’t know what you are doing. Some jailbreaking might be required which in turn, will ruin your warranty and you might get in trouble with your carrier.

Microsoft should expect some tough competition especially since various cell phone manufacturers have already announced they intend to release Android powered phones in 2009. And they’d better bring out their best in their next Windows Mobile 7.

HTC G1 with multitouch support?

Apparently it does support multitouch, it just does not have the proper software to make use of it.

HTC Fuze vs HTC G1 in pictures

Some more pictures, taken by AT&T Forum member Fokized, have been sent in to us by one of our readers. It shows the device side by side with the HTC G1, HTC’s first android phone, and while the Android device does not look as bad as many suggest, the Fuze certainly looks a bit more modern and polished.
